To get the bonding to adhere properly, your dentist first etches the surface of the tooth by applying a solution to the affected area. This will allow the bonding material to be able to adhere properly to the tooth. Your dentist will apply the resin gently to your prepared tooth and carefully shape the resin into the desired shape once it has been applied to the tooth. A special UV light will then be used to harden the resin once the dentist has finished forming the resin into the desired shape. As a final step, your dentist will polish your brand-new teeth and adjust them, if necessary, to ensure that your smile looks natural.
